Though our efforts we stirred
Away despair - 'prayer meaningless
You not worthy to bless'
That is our poor state without you
O Lord, loving and true
E'en if answers may be delayed
Help us trust unafraid
For the truth is you welcome, bid
Us, e'en your presence hid
May be at times, yet there you be
Guiding us constantly
Blackness of night, faith has dim light
Lord aid us, and make bright
Our path in loving, serving you
For sure us first you knew
Bring healing, freedom, peace we pray
Whate'er we need each day
Your hold on us strong, and your love
Come comfort, holy dove (the Holy Spirit)

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. There are often ups and downs in life, no one excluded. Some may be gentler or smaller hills and valleys, compared to some other people. There is comfort, in both the senses of 'solace' and of 'strengthen'.

Thanks UNCLE STEVE : Its Tuesday morning here and this is just the Spiritual Uplift I needed to start my Monday Clinics : Physiotherapists can have a mean streak ! We do need Spiritual Renewal & Revival : all my clients this morning are recovering from surgery and I am Praying for TLC in my Healing Hands. I consider my Job (Healing through Physio) to be SPIRITUAL : and where it is permitted I PRAY with my Clients ! NZ is a more Spiritual Country than the UK.
