IT ONLY TAKES ONE

Life isn’t easy, life can be cursed

Thousands of sperm and yours got there first.

I had two that got there first.

Have you got a double personality ? Or have you got two children?

      • Goldfinch60

Two children, girl with two kids, one of each and a son with two kids, one of each. My 'little boy' is three inches taller than I, and I am 6'1".

I've got three and six grandchildren - they are a real joy every one of them. The oldest, Phoebe, passed her driving test in the week first time - we so proud of her - she drove round on her own to tell us straight afterwards.

Oh lol, bit swoony again M.! Is anything NOT swoony for me?!

          • Michael Edwards

            A vitamin pill?

Hold on to your faith Orchi - My wife is quite devout and I know what it means to her. For those who have it it is such a precious thing.
What's all this - can't believe I'm getting all serious.

              • orchidee

We'll get headaches, being too serious! I fuss about 'outward' things. Yet, for example, how can they enjoy being in a chilly building for about 90 minutes?

                • Michael Edwards

A sort of lazy man's self flagellation.

                  • orchidee

Erm, yes, but I'm of the belief that we don't need to do penance, self flagellation, asceticism, etc (long word there!) to pay for our sins.

                      Just stay in bed?

                      • orchidee

Yes - why did we get out of bed some days? Why did we bother, if we only mucked everything up for ourselves and for others? Will we be a waste of space. (Can't carry on being this negative!). heehee.

                      • orchidee

I'm too old M.! I walked out of a draughty church half-way through today. I'm a heretic! I made a sneaky exit during prayers - all hands together, eyes closed, so they didn't see me.
It was all oldies - that can't be helped though. Kiddies were in the church hall in their groups. But organ was half clapped out; various mutterings and mumblings; and I couldn't focus, not getting warm enough. Seems like 'The living dead'. Rant over!
That'll teach me to go to the wrong service. The one I wanted is this evening, but too far to go in the evening.

Well, as you know, I'm not a church goer but went out to the supermarket this morning (our routine is all over the place), and since I can't lift at the moment (still waiting for staples to be removed) I was as useful as a chocolate frog. Got home so exhausted I laid down on the bed and fell asleep for half an hour. Just had a super Sunday lunch and resting yet again. So looking forward to being up and active again but have written off rest of this year.

I don't want to chuck away my faith. it's just 'outward' things sometimes. But being in a chilly building anywhere, church or wherever, is not pleasant. Heck, the sermon droned on too. I couldn't get away until the prayers, or everyone would notice me sneaking out! I've heard good sermons/talks though.
Time did not go quickly, as I was not enjoying myself. Doh!

Hope it wasn't back stroke - you never know where you'll end up!

                              Michael,

                              Love these entertaining shorties!
Those little “swimmers” are champions! They always find their way!

I love your painting! It reminds me of my town square where I’ve taken and still take many pleasant strolls when I’m there!

                              Hope you’re doing better!

                              All the best...

Yes they're little buggers aren't they - anent the painting it's Market Harborough - my nearest town. We love it and only an hour from central London. Mind you it's pushing house prices through the roof.
