Success in Failure.

Goldfinch60

Going through life there are problems,

They are there for you to solve,

To ensure that you become a better person.

They create the one thing

That cannot be taught,

They create your experience,

Your experience in life.

Sometimes though

You fail,

But in that failure

You still learn things.

Life can be so wonderful,

As any time you learn from a failure,

It is always a success

The more I learn the harder it becomes to retrieve it - fine write Andy and a great video.

I thought that we never forget anything, once we've learnt it? Like elephants?! It's in our brain-box for ever, if we dig far enough.

The trouble is, Bert and Fred, that for every new piece of information that we gain an older piece falls off the other end of our memory doesn't it .

        • Michael Edwards

Yes it's always in there - but the more we store the harder it is to find it.
          Well that's my excuse.

I was at dinner with some friends many, many years ago and there were some people that were friends of our friends and the man came up with a marvellous statement "Yes I had heard of that but I have not yet committed it to my memory"

I like it too. Might use it myself.

              • orchidee

It's like 'treasures new and old' in our memories. Like a treasure-chest - the newer memories n top, the older ones further down.
Meanwhile, you keeping that Fire Exit Door closed at all times, even if there's a fire? Dunno how we get out!

                • Michael Edwards

Can fire read? If not how does it know it is supposed to use the Fire exit - it might go the wrong way!!

                  • orchidee

We might only get out if the fire door burns down, seeing as we have to keep it shut at all times. Doh! A manageress would not leave in fire practice time. We didn't care if a real fire would read, or burn her up. She was made of steel anyway, or some 'non-people-person' material. What a fine example to the staff - you stay and burn up too! Oops, we've invaded Goldie's comments.

A good write Andy. We may plunge into the failure at the time, then may sometimes only learn later from it, so it becomes constructive, or redemptive - spiritual word there, meaning it 'saves, helps us somehow'. Not that we can earn our salvation though.

Those failures can teach us so much. Thanks Orchi.

Thanks UNCLE ANDY ~ For some excellent advice ! If I'm really honest we only learn by our OWN MISTAKES. Love the music : not many Female virtuoso Horn Players ! Blessings & Love to JOYCE & Yourself

Thank you Angela, learning from mistakes is experience and that cannot be taught.
I can remember wen Alison Balsom first came to fame, she was like a breath of fresh air.

                      • Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet

Such great advice penned in poetic form. We should all learn from your words, "Anytime you learn from a failure, it is always a success."

                        Thanks for sharing. 🙂

the capacity to learn, does not make us uniquely human but the capacity to learn from our own individual mistakes, makes us all individuals... memory is about the storage of information in the correct box and being able to retrieve it when required or necessary.... problems arise when something prevents us from locating the appropriate box when access is required... there is certainly much truth in your final three lines my friend... Neville
