Turning to you, progressing on life's way

You Lord our Saviour here from day to day

Through all life's journey you will be our guide

Your Spirit in our hearts He does reside

So on through thick and thin, your purposes show

To us, that we more in your image grow

 

If heavy heart or mind, grant us your light

Clear away the darkness so that our sight

Is set on you, focused here and aligned

Finding your help, your mercies true and kind

Going forth, sharing, to evangelise

Reaching forth unto you, Christ our high prize

 

Attuned to you, may outward things not spoil

Communion with you, nor distracts* foil (* distractions)

Us, as we press on steadily ahead

Following you, and by your Spirit led

What be your will, your plan for us today?

Teach us to know it, joyfully obey

 

Spirit of God, rise up within our hearts

And daily fill us here in all our parts

Expressing praise, worship, and thanksgiving

Melodious voices unto you sing

Great God of all, we saved through Christ you Son

For each of us full salvation has won
