Tune: St Fulbert
('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')
*******
A perusal of worship, praise
Let us here songs now raise
To glorify our Lord and King
Songs we our Saviour bring
'Alaz', to exult, to rejoice
To praise Him with one voice
To jump for joy, and celebrate
Our Lord, He ever great
Psalm 149 v.6
Let the high praises of God be
In mouths of they who, see
In their hand too a two-edged sword
'Tis the word of the Lord
Psalm 96 v.11
Let heavens rejoice, earth be glad
And be no longer sad
Let sea roar, and all there within
And all that have scales, fins

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. This is the first of a series on 'Praise words' that I have, though I am typing it out of sequence, and occasionally posting it. The first stanza is general introduction to the series, then the Bible verses show where the praise words appear.

Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold. No danger of jumping for joy in some places. Well, I'm not given to jumping about or dancing, in church or out of it!
Try not dancing whilst reciting that unwritten poem - great work by the way O.
Orchi,
A wonderful read and tune! Thank you for sharing!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura.
Yep, Michael. Did you and Goldie meet St Fulbert in person as well as me, in the early 11th Century, a bit before 1066? Did you say 'Hi, Fulb'?! I think it's French, so 'Full-bear'. And why am I talking rubbish still?!
Thanks UNCLE STEVE : You continue to uplift ! Personally I consider all Three Members of the Trinity are Worthy of Praise although there are not many Hymns addressed to the Holy Spirit. I was brought up CATHOLIC and we are BIG on PRAISE. Some strict Evangelicals wont sing Hymns addressed to the SPIRIT or pray to the Spirit !
I Praise God for Creating ME : Brian thinks He did a Good Job !
I Praise JESUS for Saving ME. I Praise The HOLY SPIRIT for Infilling me and Empowering me to live the Christian Life (Its easier in Auckland !).
Love the Music : A Lady Organist ! Thanks for the references it is a good subject for a Home Bible Study !
Love ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡
