FIB Sequence Acrostic.

First

It

Becomes

Set in words

Emerging on the page

Questioning the writers language

Using words as traps

Enchants you

Now you

Can’t

  • Comment from author about the poem: At the Poetry Group which I organise tomorrow the subject is "Acrostic Day". As a foretaste of the one I am going to put up tomorrow this is an Acrostic that I have written using a a FIB sequence. A FIB is a fibonacci sequence using the total number of syllables from the last two lines in the current line i.e - 1,1,2,3,5,8. In this poem I have reversed it as well. Tomorrow I will put up another Acrostic.

A fine write Gold. Is it worth me trying the bi-monthly local poets group again? Dunno if it's still going, but may meet this evening (last Tues of month bi-monthly).
It's rather a muttering and mumbling though. I mutter too. doh!
    Lets waffle - FIBS of 13, 21, 34, 65, 99..... - words per line? When to stop?!

    • Goldfinch60

      Go and surprise them Orchi.
I have manged to get to thirteen words in one of my FIBS in the past.

We could vary it, e.g. number of syllables per stanza.

Great form and a good example - you'll impress them with this Andy.

        Andy,

I totally agree with Michael’s comment!
