Whatever you do, wherever you go
choose your route carefully
choose your own destiny
it’s only the dead fish that go with the flow.

Wise poem Michael, going against the flow can be so wondrous.
Cheers Andy.
A fine write M.
One day I will be 'short', but I just keeps singing endlessly. Well, when I compose me poems anyway.
Aww, and why they flog that horse - it's dead! No use flogging that sort, as it's said!
Is there a Flo Berles?!
She's out there walking on the Cob Berles
Short line wise advice Michael - - love the mysterious path leading to - where ?
It leads away from my village across the fields and eventually to a large stone which baffles the historians - what is is? How did it get there? Who brought it there?
You seen Berle Esk lately?!
No but have made a snow house with Esk E Mo.
Beautiful painting goes so well with your sage advice.
Thanks so much Debs
Oh such a beautiful picture Michael and a wise shortie........ please please please paint the stone! I want to see it!
It's not much to see - it couldn't be called a rock but it is not from the area - about 2ft high - will paint it but far too muddy to get anywhere near it at this time of the year.r
OMG you mean i must never go to the seaside again? The way gets much narrower upstream and i see hills ahead.
Did someone say that a lifetime against the flow will lead to a narrowing of ones prospects, or is it just ones outlook?
Of course you can go to the seaside - just don't go by river 🙂
