Rainbow Revealings

orchidee

Tune: Lasst Uns Erfreuen

('All creatures of our God and King')

********

See bright bow shining in the sky

God's faithfulness shall never die

Alleluia, Alleluia!

You multi-coloured band of light

Appears resplendent to our sight

The Lord will not fail day or night

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

So is His grace, many facets

As each day dawns until sun sets

Alleluia, Alleluia!

And through dark nights He faithful here

His presence unseen, yet e'er near

Trusting in Him still, we not fear

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Sun and rain intermingling

Of the Lord's glories do we sing

Alleluia, Alleluia!

Darkness o'er light can prevail ne'er

For His victory is just, sure, fair

And to Him none can match, compare

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Time past, some saved in Noah's Flood

Today we are saved through Christ' blood

Alleluia, Alleluia!

Rainbow shows Deluge ne'er again

Shall be as it did happen then

New Covenant now to all men (mankind)

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8.8. metre with Alleluias. Written on a train while seeing a rainbow. The journey ended, otherwise this may have been a longer poem. Spot the guinea pig (?) at 1:13. It's them meerkats!

A fine write and a great video!

    As far as meerkats...
It is best that they stay in the wild!
