HOW WELL do I remember our first proper DATE
BRIAN : very patient : I was very LATE !
PLEASE tell Me: how was I to know ?
MY progress would decelerate by SNOW !
A LESSER MAN : would wait for : half an hour
PRESUME that I had 'chickened' in the shower
ALAS I had no mobile ; to inform
My waitng LOVER : all alone forlorn !
STOOD UP in the Restaurant : on First Date
I WAS distraught : cos I am never LATE !
BUT GOD is good : B not stood in the Cold
But supping Wine : snug in The HART of GOLD !
When I arrived : My Snow Treck now complete
The Maitre d'Hote said "Yon Man's fast asleep !"
Now this was TRUE : Not just a Waiters Joke
I woke HIM with a KISS : and "in ribs poke !"
When BRIAN awoke : His eyes were shining bright .....
"For you My Angel : I would wait ALL NIGHT !"

I was freezing when I arrived at the HART of GOLD :
but Brian (BIG BEAR) is a very good HUGGER ! All
the other Diners clapped when we eventually sat
down at our Table. To keep my Dad in a Job : Brian
had ordered a bottle of RIOJA TINTA and had drunk
two glasses while He waited for His ANGEL to arrive !
He was NOT driving ! The Meal was amazing and especially
the Sirloin Steak with all the trimmings ! I drove BRIAN
back to His Flat : and it was FRIDAY NIGHT ! ! ! 🧡🧡🧡

I saw a GP programme. Doc and patient actually shook hands, and even hugged a couple of patients.

That first date is something special, ours was a bit strange and I will relate it tomorrow.
THANKS UNCLE ANDY : They are a bit gauche in retrospect. It was the first time Brian had invited ME to a Steak House (The Spanish are BEEF EATERS !) before CHRISTMAS but we hadn\'t rekoned with the SNOW ! Brian had gone by TAXI because you cant do justice to Steak without a couple of Glasses of Rioja Tinto ! Despite being raised with WINE I only ever drink ONE GLASS if Im driving & eating ! The wake up kiss : made the occasion very memorable ! Look forward to your story tomorrow. This SUBJECT : First Dates would make a good FUSION !

FIRST DATES ARE ALWAYS MEMORABLE : Especially if there's a glitch ! Like waiting at the wrong Railway Station if there are more than one in the TOWN. London is especially a First Date minefield. Mobiles have made Meetings much easier ! I have never been stood up on a Date ! BUT in the past (NOT BRIAN !) I have texted to a Date to say I have changed my mind ! That is a Ladies privilege : OK !
