SHORTIE FOUR

Michael Edwards

The truth is something no one knows

so don’t be so quick to condemn.

It’s nothing to do with the Emperor’s clothes

for no one has ever seen them.

The truth can be so hard sometimes without our imagination.

    • Michael Edwards

Indeed - a strange write methinks as the first two lines are somewhat contradicted by the second two. Make what you will of it

If someone had, they would have to change the definition of the word "Faith." I've been keeping up with your work, and I like this one quite a bit. Show the newbies how it's done - or keep up the good work. Whichever suits your fancy.

      • Michael Edwards

Thanks so much Nicholas - it is a bit of an enigmatic write as I've said to Goldie above - but I guess that's what I like about it.

A fine write and pic M. Eek, I'm rather fundamental and intolerant relating to some things of religion. Hopefully not in a bigoted way.
        Is Miss Berles intolerant?

        • Michael Edwards

Strangely I never had religion in mind when I wrote this -

Is Miss Berles intolerant? - No sh'e still in bed!!

          • orchidee

Thanks M. It just reminded me of how I can be fundamental! Is there a Ms Fun D. Mental?

            • Michael Edwards

Not sure but there is an Ella Mental

              • orchidee

Ahh I though Fun D Mental was stretching things a bit. There was this person Ella, as I recall her now! Any more Berles family?

I misremembered - It was Ellie Mental - her husband was a Doctor - you must remember him - Doc U Mental

How's that evening? Is it here yet?!

                    • Michael Edwards

No - not here - just had lunch with Belly Wob Berles

                      • orchidee

That evening's here now. How's it going? Am I on here all day? lol

                      • Neville

a philosophical little rhyming whimsy, if ever there was
