Tune: St Clement
('The day thou gavest Lord is ended')
*******
Forgive me Lord, where I no fruit grow
But only my selfishness show
Give me patience and perseverance
My heart lowly in penitence
Evening falls, another passing day
May I look back on it and say
That something done, said, for your glory
May have value eternally
'Til light shines, where darkness persisting
So joyful outcomes praises bring
Where I dull, dry, or simply resting
In you, in Christ's image growing
For you have for me, for all, your plan
For every child, woman, and man
If troubled conscience, you come to bless
Enabling release, forgiveness
Give sweet sleep and quiet mind, healing
Through night and day, in everything
Help us not be anxious, each day take
Step at a time for your name's sake

Hello Angela (of Angela and Brian)….. 'brethren 'neath the western sky' Cooeeee!
That last stanza says it all for the life we would like to lead.
Thanks Gold. I got a bit "hob-nobbing" with some clergy. I know the Bishop of Salisbury a little (church in this clip) from when he used to be at St Martin's in the Fields in London in Trafalgar Square. Now I must meet the PM for coffee at church - only 2 miles from our home! Her lips will move, but...….
Fine work - you off to vote for Theresa?
Thanks M. Erm, don't know. She just happens to often go to a church near-ish to me. Is the church still 'The Tory Party at prayer' these days' as they say? You know Ms Dee Votion? Or Mr Daley D. Votion, her hubby?
Very well written keep up the nice work.

PS: don't feel bad sometimes its good to be selfish since we all need some "Me" time
Thanks Theta. I understand. Well, I'm not one who confesses sins every 5 minutes or so! Yes, all needing 'me' time. I expect you see the difference between that and being selfish on purpose - arrogant, bigoted, etc.
Indeed there is such a difference I'm glad not blinded by arrogance or pride sadly unlike others. I wish you a good morning dear friend
Greetings from UK, where it's evening now!
Ah greetings Sir hope you have a wonderful night
This is a clear depiction of your self reflection. It speaks a thousand words with merely a few.
Thanks N. We're trying to find Ms Dee Votion, and Mr Daley D Votion. Geddit? Eccentric here in UK?! lol.
