Two thousand Poems!
How could I have written two thousand poems?
But I have.
And this is it.
If you had told me some years ago
That I would be writing poetry
I would have laughed at you.
Me! Write poetry!
You are joking!
But then I saw it,
Saw a work of art,
It brought tears to my eyes,
A picture that pulled my emotions
Into vast sadness,
The power of the art spoke to my soul,
I had to write something,
Something about it,
And my first poem appeared.
It all started slowly,
But over the weeks, months, years
More were written,
Until that time when I had to write.
It was a drug in my being,
I just could not get enough,
Get enough of writing.
So here I am
Writing another one,
My second of the day,
And there will be more to come.
So welcome to my world,
My addictive world of words,
My world of poetry.

20000
- Congratulations Andy = some feat, are we having a party?
If it were 20,000 that would be quite some feat Michael, if I reach that number I will certainly have an Old codgers party.
Oh dear - an errant zero - where did that come from? Probably one of Orchi's cast offs.
Oh, well done Gold! For both you and I, it says on MPS, that we have 662 'poems published' at present.
That is right Orchi but there are 634 of mine lost to FP.
Oh dear. You write/type them out first? I always do. Are they lost altogether, or have you got them on paper/on file somewhere?
I have copies of them all, that is how I know how many I have written. I type them, print them and save them both on paper and the computer.
THANKS UNCLE ANDY ~ Congratulations ~ We are all POETS ~ however some never put pen to paper which is a pity ! Being raised in Liverpool ~ we were always encouraged to verbalise our movements of the muse ~ either vocally or script-wise. thanks also for more stirring music ! Love in the Spirit to both of YOU ~
