SNOWDROPS ! A 7 7 MIRROR SONNET ~ BRIAN

ANGELA & BRIAN

GOD HAS PROMISED THAT EACH YEAR ~ SPRING WILL

FOLLOW WINTER ~ THEN SUMMER ~ THEN AUTUMN ~ AMEN !

SNOWDROPS ~ Herald Winters end ~ Springs rebirth !

SO pure white and delicate like Angels

THEY peek defiantly through frozen snow

SAYING "Winter will not last forever !"

THEY'RE here ~ Ready & Willing to blossom

THEIR spring green leaves ~ have built in ANTIFREEZE

I LOVE SNOWDROPS they are so so sassy !

Oh well, that's Winter then - a few days between Christmas and the new year?!
We can shorten winter in our thinking - say about mid-January 'Spring here soon'. We hope!
You praying your 'flight' may not be in winter nor on the Sabbath?'

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

Thanks for your comment Uncle Steve ! Winter is elusive in both its gentility & fury ! The JAN / FEB interface often brings SNOW to Essex ~ so we have our Sleighs & Snowshoes ready ! However the SNOWDROPS are already beginning to show as a natural harbinger (good word) of SPRING. Some US States are already deep in Snow ~ White CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR ! I will be flying to NZ on a SATURDAY in APRIL ! Blessing for the Promised Spring BRIAN & ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

That 'harbinger' is in a hymn line somewhere! Hope Angela doesn't wish her Summer away!

There is nothing quite as beautiful as a carpet of Snowdrops to greet you as the first sign of Spring.

        • ANGELA & BRIAN

YES UNCLE ANDY ~ Snowdrops have a delicate beauty & pristinity unmatched by any other Spring Flower ! Thanks for your comment !
          BLESSING & Gods Promises for 2019 ~
Love to YOU & JOYCE ~

Mine are just showing bud - great little plants that auger a new season.

THANKS FOR YOU CONFIRMATION UNCLE MIKE ! Essex is a bit further South and propbably the mildest climate in mainland UK. However NATURE is very Season orientated and flowers always bloom & bud in Season and are no repectors of actual Weather. Having an allotment (at Work) also teaches one a lot about seasonal vegetable growing al fresco ! Late FROST is the monster !
Blessings and Love for all Seasons ~

There are carpets of snowdrops that open around the new year near to where I live - no better sight for the sore eyes of winter than the virginal white of a host of snowdrops - Lovely mirror verse
            dear Brian

Thanks FAY ~ Yes indeed SNPWDROPS are always the fist of the Spring Flowers to brave the Cold even through deep snow. I remember them coming through the snow one Winter in YORKSHIRE. Pleased you enjoyed it. Blessings & love in the SPIRIT ~ BRIAN & ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

          • Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet

            Wonderful write, Brian and Angela.
I've not seen this particular poetic form before, but I loved the mirrored message your poem delivered. I have also not seen snowdrops. At first I thought they were the same as snowflakes, until I looked at the video. Snowdrops are actually beautiful.

            Thanks for sharing
