Just Take a Look

Neville

Just Take a Look

Just look how well she pirouettes and glides

Between all those minarets and spires

Caring nothing whatsoever for religion

Hey

Just look again how well she thrives

Amongst all those preachers clowns and liars

Caring nothing whatsoever for tradition

Hey

Just look again how well she strives

To captivate and then discard

Without giving anything away at all

Just like

‘The Mona Lisa’

Just look how well she smiles

Is the ending an invite to collaborate?

I thought sir did not participate in collaboration?

I like the mystery you create with this one. She seems enigmatic.

One day I would like to be an enigma.

    • Neville

N not an invite to collaborate.. that is not gonna happen.. am going to edit that out... you are an enigma sylviasearcher...and thanks 🙂

      • sylviasearcher

Oooh but isn't every poem an invite to collaborate neville?

The invite to merge perception and reception. To create new meaning, new beauty, new truth.

I wrote about it once but think I could write more eloquently now that I am an enigma 🤗😘

It was the poem: to whom these words belong.

Noone claimed them ironically. I think they were written before I became an enigma so I forgot to pirouette!

          • Neville

I reckon you have always been an enigma..

            • sylviasearcher

                        To be without a care
What a wonderful world that would be
                        To be, just to be
To be for no one but thee

                        Romantic indeed

A flamboyant female indeed who can ride over established tradition and laugh at its ploys - -yet the same uncaring attitude in taking captives to be discarded shows she who mysteriously smiles loves only self. Hhhmm - - one to avoid methinks.....good read Nev........ x

                          • Neville
