LOVE'S FIRST BITE

Michael Edwards

LOVE’S FIRST BITE

Once bound in steel inviolable

repression bands are soon  unlocked

when influenced by passions rule

which previously firm pride forbade.

Already drawn to fully span

the sadness sloughed and soon replaced

to manifest the plighted faith

by novelty of love’s first bite.

Love's first bite can be so wonderfully painful.
      Love the artwork Michael.

THANKS UNCLE MIKE : We love the "openness" of the vista in your watercolour ! I once gave a EULOGY at an UNCLES FUNERAL. He was from Edinburgh. His wife (who had passed over the previous year) was a confectioner and made Divine Shortbread. I could not resist saying at the Funeral : When Uncle Bill tasted Ruth's Shortbread it was "LOVE @ FIRST BITE". Fortunately it was in Liverpool and a bit of humour is allowed at Funerals & Bill & Ruth were both 70+ ! Peace & Joy for 2019 : Angela & Brian 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Thanks A&B - yes I love a bit of humour at funerals - they should be a time to reflect on the happy times as well the sad. I hope there will be humour at mine - sadly I am beyond my best-before date but I'm pleased to say I haven't been given a bury-by date (as yet).
