THERE IS STILL SOME TIME : TO PONDER & COMPOSE ! 

 

WE COMPOSE a Odd Ode every day

WE cant refuse our active Muse : OK

SOMETIMES output can be bleak

POEM a MONTH perhaps POEM a WEEK ?

 

SO WE have made an N Y Resolution

TO save you from our Odd Ode pollution

BOTH of US are extra extra BIZZY

LIFE'S ROUNDABOUT for us is very  WHIZZY

 

ANGELA'S  busy training PHYSIOS : and

I HAVE some New Courses to keep me on my toes !

PERHAPS then : we'll post Twice a Week ?

OR Thrice if extra time we tweak !

    I agree it is demanding trying to post one a day - as a result mine are getting more consistently short and I'm relying on the whimsical which can take just a few moments.. as you long as you keep posting albeit not so often.

      THANKS For your early MORNING appreciation : UNCLE MIKE. Once a DAY is tough even at Our Age ! As you hint in your comment we should never sacrifice QUALITY for QUANTITY in any walk of LIFE ! YES of coure we will persist in Posting and of course commenting !

        Aww, be as long - or short - as ya like M! it may not take too long. I rarely chuck anything out. But I may have spurts of inspiration, then nothing for a day or two.

        Aww, I shan't be disappointed if you (either one of you) post something every day.
        I don't write every day - some days nothing; other days 1, 2, or 3 poems maybe.
        I seem to get longer too - unless it's waffle! I found hymns with 30+ verses. That's given me an idea... heehee.
        It don't take too long once you get inspiration. Don't ration us! lol. Ya won't have over-stayed ya welcome.

          Thanks UNCLE STEVE for your very encouraging reply ! As you know we like all our POEMS to be Topical so the muse is not always operative. However when one posts a GEM and gets lots of replies ~ they all have to be acknowledged also (on a tit-for-tat basis) one feels obliged to comment on thier ODE etc etc ! We reasoned by POSTING LESS we would be ble to do justice to the comments we recive and of course only one of us can post on a specific day unless its a collaboration. Then there is the TIME ZONE FACTOR ~ Its 4 am Saturday in Auckland so Angela would have to wait another 4 hours (at least !) to acknowledge your comment. For our American Brothers & Sisters its only about 9 am. So they havnt commented YET ~ AMEN If the Earth really was flat we wouldnt have this problem ! Yours as always BRIAN the BUSY ! I wont be retired until Im 70 (2053 !)

            I completely understand that it can be hard to write in a busy life but to me in the situation that I am in with Joyce's dementia writing is a release that keeps me going therefore I need to write every day. Each day Calliope feeds me with words to put onto the page.
