AUTUMN BREEZE

Michael Edwards

AUTUMN BREEZE

Forsaken by their fallen leaves

the barren branches interweave

and gently wave in autumn breeze

which bows the beds of rush and reed.

A lovely write and pic Michael. That a breeze blowing, or a lot of hot air? Depends who is blowing!

Tell me please, I wish to know
from where do all the breezes blow?
Is there a place within the sky
Where gentle breezes with a sigh,
beyond the clouds, are given birth
before their journey down to earth?
Or could it be the wind set free
By people just like you and me?

        An ode to sprouts, perchance?!

      • dusk arising

        The sparrow shudders,
        feathers ruffled
        For in Pussy's mouth
        his cries are muffled.

        Lovely piece today.
