The Echo Of Your Voice

orchidee

Tune: Repton

('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')

*********

When on through life's journey I go

Help me your voice to know

And here in your creation bright

Shine glimpses of eternal light

Revealed unto my sight

Revealed unto my sight

Through woods and vales and pastures green

Peace, calm, nothing between

To disturb this communion

This fellowship with Christ the Son

Saving work He has done

Saving work He has done

Help me to hear, your still small voice

And in your praise rejoice

Through sunlight glades, or dew, or rain

I sense your presence close again

Creator, you e'er reign

Creator, you e'er reign

Carpets of flowers, they your grace

Display, your mercies trace

Guard us from voices harmful, strange

May we hear only your voice range

All that you plan, arrange

All that you plan, arrange

Your voice in hush and quietude

Inviting, never rude

Echoes speak plain, reverberate

Telling of you, that you are great

E'erlasting is your state

E'erlasting is your state

So on through life's passage and rhyme

You with us all the time

You our good Shepherd, we your sheep

You do safe in your fold each keep

Lead through high, low, smooth, steep

Lead through high, low, smooth, steep

Hi UNCLE STEVE ~ Due to a busy Tuesday and 5 to 7 Class I am responding to this excellent compilation @ 9 pm ! Love the Picture ~ Praise & Poem ! This HYMN was our School Hymn in the School I attended in Liverpool. Love the verse:

In simple trust like those who
Heard beside the Syrian Sea ~
The gracious calling of our LORD
Let us like them ~ without a word
            Rise up and follow Thee
Rise up and follow Thee ~ AMEN

Loved the Poem that paraphrases it. Next time I visit my Alma Mater I will recite it for them !
Yours as always BRIAN the SILENT !
I am posting YESTERDAY tomorrow please check !
