TEN HEALTHIEST UK UNIVERSITIES ~ BRIAN

ANGELA & BRIAN

NOTTINGHAM UNIVERSITY ~ MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS !

CHOOSING A University is a question faced

BY PARENTS & by Students every year

IS IT ACADEMIC in league tables how they are placed ?

OR IS IT FINANCIAL a question of How Far ~ How Dear ?

BUT theres another question ~ quite apart from WEALTH

ARE there Gyms & Swims & Sports ~ is there GOOD HEALTH ?

A CHECK was made on facilities for exercise & meditation

HERE'S the result I hope they meet your highest EXPECTATION !

NOTTINGHAM : Excellent campus University best facilities : Central

EDINBURGH* : Old established University : welcomes everybody !

YORK : A modern Collegiate University in a Beautiful City

GLASGOW* : More down to Earth : Excellent Medical School

BRISTOL : Beautiful Site in West Country : Academic excellence

CAMBRIDGE : Awesome Colleges : High demand for places !

NEWCASTLE : Excellent standards in all Subjects : Vibrant City

EXETER : A cool site in Devon : Peace & Tranquility !

ST ANDREWS* : Great University William & Kate are Alumni

IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON : Good for Science & Technology.

Those marked * are in SCOTLAND a lot of Scottish Universities

have local students ~ who value affordable Sport facilities !

Thanks for visit : Comments welcome : Love BRIAN  🧡🧡🧡

University Education is expensive and if one includes Residential Fees

Students often finish with a personal debt of £50,000 (= $70,000)

must be paid back when they are earning more than £30,000 (= $40k).

Choice of Area of Study is important Medicine (6 Year Course) meal

ticket £50k + per year.  Other Courses (Performing Arts etc) are

enjoyable : but employment is HIT & MISS !  There are other factors

such as location  : being a day student etc which affect expense Area

I have cited relates to facilities for a Healthy (low alcohol !) Lifestyle !

This includes Gym Membership : Swimming & Sports Facilities :

Meditation & Societies for Teetotal Students !  Choosing a Course is

relatively easy : choosing the right University is more difficult !

THANKS UNCLE STEVE ! Universites are excellent Places and i have visted most of the above ! Sightseeing ~ Conferences ~ To deliver a Lecture and to attend classes. Once the prerogative of the elite but in the 20th C open to everyone with a clutch of A Levels (3 x E ?) and who can afford it !
Yours as always BRIAN the Polymath !

My grand daughter has just received 3 unconditional offers - she is over the moon - yes it is available to all but at a cost. I used to be a guest lecturer in Health Care Law for nursing graduates and it struck me then (and more so now) that we were training them to such a level that their expectations were raised above the role. 'I'm a graduate nurse - I didn't study to this level to empty bed pans'

THANKS UNCLE MIKE : ANGELA HERE (nearly 9 am Friday here ! CLINICS @ 2pm & 6pm !) Physiotherapy & Radiography (RUTH) are both Graduate Professions (and rightly so !) General Nursing requires intelligence : manual dexterity & a Bedside Manner also the ability to deal with nasty situations cooly : and nasty & pongy excretions ! On the Wards they miss the SENs who were prepared to do anything & everything ! Sometimes the wrong types of person end up as Ward Nurses : too academic : too introverted & too fussy ! So I agree with you ! However I have great adminration for ALL who work in the Health professions. BRIAN has a lot of Health Workers in His Extended Family and there are many hispanics (currently) working in the UK Health Service !
Pleased you liked the PIC POEM & WIFFENPOOF SONG !
        Blessings Angela & Brian 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Yes it pays to look at the curriculum offered by such places and then make an informed choice - a most interesting subject and so clearly explained - -hugs to you two x

Thanks FAY I was intrigued when I read the article in the Paper listing 10 very pretigious UK Universities not in order of Student numbers or Academic achievement at Graduate & Postgraduate level ~ BUT ~ in terms of how Healthy the Campus was in therms of Sports Facilities ~ Gyms ~ Swimming Pools ~ Meditation & Chill Out Centres and encouraging Teetotalism ~ AMEN ! I know Nottingham University and I am pleased (and not surprised) it came top in terms of "Health & Sports Facilities for the Students". In my experience Healthy Students who are Cigarette & Drug free and only "Social Drinkers" produce better results and are good role models ! Thanks for your commnets pleased you enjoyed the Poem (List !) Picture (Nottingham Students Union Building) & The Wiffenpoof Song !
Blessings & Love in the Spirit ~

Our Granddaughter is at University. She is doing French and Italian at Birmingham Uni, she is in the third year of a four year course, she has just spent six months in Strasbourg and when she goes back at the end of this month she is going to Milan until the summer, such a shame.

          • ANGELA & BRIAN

THANKS UNCE ANDY ~ I have attended courses at Birmingham Uni ~ it is a wonderful campus ! My Freinds & Family tell me that ones contact witth Children & Grandchildren decreases when they go to Uni and can disappear altogether when they start work. Todays extended Mobile Families can end up anywhere even New Zealand !
Love & Blessings to YOU & JOYCE ~
