Take me to a land called laughter
Where purple people pose
And poets lose pretentions
As with mashed potato they paint their prose
Today is yellow don't you see?
I landed on alien moon
My head got turned the opposite of opposite
And they're calling me a loon
Take me to a playful pantomime
Where people use their feet to speak in rhyme
And dancers in marshmallows prance a jig
As mouthfuls of orange flavoured tea they swig
Tomorrow is rainbow coloured you hear?
The unicorn got lost somewhere between now and near
It tickled my synapse from black to pink
And told me lethewards I could not sink!
So take me dancing at dinner time
Let the crazy ones report our crimes!
Lead me back to the end of beginning
Where pineapple pancakes are always for winning
Whisper you don't think I'm being silly
On days when the sunshine is icy chilly
Instead remind me that space unicorns are real
And when the soul laughs the moon starts to feel
Drink up my absurdity and keep it for when
I need reminding of awesome and Lego and friends

Nothing wrong in indulging oneself every now and then.. and that sure would be one helluva place to park my unicorn while waiting for my fairy princess to arrive with da pizza...
It was awesome wasn't it 😂😂😬
If this is self indulgence I love its menu - serve me more.
Well I did promise a rainbow coloured poem! 🌈
Thanks as always for your kind words 😌
Hell yeah....nice flow sweet alliteration
You zagged within the zig dove within the dip.....that's how it's done my poetic friend
Oh I really was just being silly...
Thanks though
Chasing rainbows can be as wonderful as your words.
Yes as soon as you realise that the prize is in the endeavour 🌈
