Moments in Words.

Goldfinch60

Each day they are with us,

Those moments that bring us glory,

Bring us wonder,

Bring us love.

They may be so fleeting

That they become hardly remembered,

But poets can capture them,

They can capture moments in words.

Moments captured in words

Are captured forever.

Thanks Gold. As I say, some days I have no moments, with no poems. Then other days I may have several moments, and write several poems. Well, up to 2 or 3 a day anyway.

Those moments are always there Orchi but sometimes we may not realise how special they are.

Thanks Uncle Andy : Angela here (10 pm Friday : sailing in the Sun tomorrow !) Love ELLA such pathos in her voice : always makes me CRY a RIVER. Love the sentiments in your POEM. Being in NZ gives me a moment of GLORY & WONDER every day : AMEN.
Blessings & Love for JOYCE & YOURSELF :

May those moments always be with you Angela.
As far as I am concerned Ella could sing a telephone directory and it would still be wonderful.

Great write Andy. I have to admit that as much as I love Ella I do prefer the Julie London version of Cry me a River

        • Goldfinch60

          Thank you Michael.
Yes I agree with you, the Julie London version is something quite special.

Went to a dinner recital last night - a mezzo soprano - great evening and she sang many operatic favourites with a recorded orchestra but not the same as having a live orchestra. Instead of the orchestra following her she had to follow the orchestra which didn't have the same fluency.

This so true for me sir. Within my published pieces on MPS are those which take me back to a certain instance which is a golden memory and hopefully, having written those, i will forever be able to recall with each re-reading.

            • Goldfinch60

Thank you da, yes that is so true, I have copies of all my poems both on computer and in files and I do dive into them and find memories.
