Goldie and Orchi wrote poems,
From the millennia of years now passed,
They wrote at least one a day,
One wondered how long this will last.
They both joined here together,
From another fine poetry site,
That site died in turmoil,
So now it’s on here that they write.
Seven hundred poems,
They both have now put on here,
A time for a celebration,
Perhaps go out for a beer.
There is the problem I know,
Drinking with Orchi, I need to watch,
As he is liable to put water,
In my fine and glorious scotch.

- Comment from author about the poem: Today Orchidee and I will have put up our seven hundredth poem on MPS, we were on another site but that died due to the animosity between some of the people writing on it, so we found this site and now you will have to put up with both of us.

AH, blessing top them both..You are fine writers, and lets hope you continue to make us poets proud of what's written. A fine poem here though, too. A lovely gesture.
Thank you Kevin, we can but try our best.
A p[air together - thanks to you both with consistently good works and zany humour. Great tribute Andy. Without you both the site would be so much poorer.
You are so kind Michael, it is very much appreciated.
Thanks Gold. lol. You will have to listen out for 'Psstt'. Not as in me beckoning or calling someone, but looking out for the phantom whisky-waterer!
I have garlic and thistles around the cabinet in which my scotch is stored, that should keep him out!
Andy,
Congratulations to you and Orchi!πππ₯π₯ππ

Thanks for the HYMN. We love JOHN RUTTER & his Music we have seen him conduct !
I thoroughly agree with your Dad.
I have sung many John Rutter songs in the Choirs of which I have been part, when listening to the songs they sound easy to sing - this is not the case but they are wonderful to sing when you have learned them.
An incredible achievement sir... write on and here's to the next 700 .... N
Thank you Neville, they are on there way.
