BE
Night
start breaking
be gone
Night
so dark
start breaking
fade away
be gone
be morning
So dark
fade away
be morning

Morning is with us - but it is still dark!
That is a great artwork, I have seen it before and it always brings a smile to my face.
( My younger granddaughter has just started her six months University studies in Milan and she has sent me a picture of the statue of Leonardo da Vinci that is in that wonderful city).
I think I've posted it before - and like you it's one of those pictures that never fails to give me a smile.
Milan is one of the few cities in Italy which although I have passed through I've never actually visited - plans for the future. You must be really proud of your granddaughter - I wish her well..
It be a good write and pic Michael. Mona having a bad-hair day?! lol.
Yeh - she's having a Mona Day.
And there it is well worth the wait,,, TaDa Excellent as always Michael now I can sleep
well it's not too bad considering it was one of the quickest I've written and didn't sit in the pending folder being tweaked for days on end. Thanks so much for the comment and for the inspiration - sleep tightly Andrew.
yawning has broken like the first y.... ooh deja vu
I'm yawning now - sorted out passport renewal - ordered new washing machine - did a bit of shopping - filled the car with petrol (should have put in the tank) - had lunch - helped my wife prepare a curry for tomorrow (I'm the commi chef) and now for a bit of shut eye - Oh no I forgot - first I've got to prepare for another workshop with the WI early next month - and if anyone mentions Brexit ....!
I don't care what they say down at the WI about Brexit... i'm sticking to weetabix.
I'll get them producing penguin cards - that'll keep them on ice.
Michael,
...and morning it is!
Tousled hair?!...
Hmmm...🤔
What was Leonardo thinking of?
Or was he?
Hmmm...🤔
I love this pic along with your poem!
Monday Lisa...
Relatable!
Just call me...Monday Laura!
~Laura~
Do you mean call you Monday, Laura or do you mean call you Monday Laura? I'm getting confused - Might be dementia but I can't remember what that is.
🤣🤣
Great poem to cast away the dark. Doesn't look like lisa is ready for the light though?
She can't smile yet - she's lost her toothbrush. 😐.
My boys would be smiling if they lost theirs!
She's in my bedroom! Oohh, a pic of the Mona Lisa, that is. Is she related to Sylla Berles at all?
You mean Mona Syllables I think.
Only a poet with your talent and pen can wait and watch the night turn into daybreak. You shoo the night away , whether in metaphor or real, all so superbly in a cool creative way I enjoyed. Kudos.
Nice to read from u again,
Pleez do review/comment my newest poem too . Best wishes,
You are far too kind - thank you so much - now to read your latest.
Thanks UNCLE MIKE ~ nice to know even famous models like ML have the odd BHD ! Love the meaninglessness in your ODE ~ In our Poetry group we call them EDO's ! Yours as always BRIAN
Yes ML suffers badly - bless her.
A cascade of poetic wisdom again from your witty imagination my friend. - - a great play on words.
