CITY LONELINESS : is a modern phenomena
In the UK I do Home Visits : improving mobility
Treating lonely Seniors with no relatives .......
YOU can feel their LONELINESS when you leave !
LONELINESS is an increasing Human dillema
ONE is ONE and all alone : FORGOTTEN !
NOBODY Phoned : NOBODY Called : NOBODY Cares
Each of us should care for LONELY & SHUT INS.
LIFE in NEW ZEALAND is better : Warm Climate and .......
In the MAORI Communities they have Extended Families
NOBODY gets FORGOTTEN or left to die ALONE !
Each of us has a responsibility for QUALITY of LIFE
SENIORS Clubs & Silver Surfers run in Brian's College.
SINGLE SENIORS DESERVE OUR LOVE & SUPPORT : AMEN

Those of us who have friends and families should be so grateful. Having sad that friendship has to be earned. on retiring don't just sit there - those who are able: get out join clubs, take up an activity - get about.
VERY TRUE UNCLE MIKE : Id much rather be playing Bridge than SOLITAIRE like the Man in the Picture ! Because of the climate in NZ the Seniors can be more Moblie and the Maoris have extended Families and the Spanish. Problem in the UK is people move away form thier Home Town & get isolated. As a Physio I visit quite a few Lonely Poeple in their own Homes : Follow up from ops etc. I am pleased that You are still so active in Mind & Body !

GRACIAS CHRIS ANGELA HERE ~ Pleased you enjoyed it ! Being A Nurse you will be aware (as I am as a Physio) of many Elderly People who when they leave Hospital they almost become SHUT INS ! In the UK we have district Nurses (and Physios) who provide at Home post operativve care ! Sometimes they tell us we are the only People they have seen all week ! Life is more communal in Villages !
THINGS are better in N Z for reasons I have stated above !
