i walk alone
we walk together
you walk alone
each of us alone
bearing scars
our lives have earned
hidden inside
scars nobody wants to see
so wanting no one to see
i smile for you
you smile for me
the smile i want the world to see
the smile the world wants to see
i walk alone
you walk alone
we walk together

- Comment from author about the poem: Each of us is scarred within in ways which effect our lives but we do not show this to the world, if we are lucky, for the world looks down upon those who are scarred. We all conform to the expected norm so far as we are able.

The role I put on myself is sometimes to high but I've never hidden a scar neither should anyone.
Thank you for this wonderful piece, together we walk with our alone feet.
Much peace and respect

I dunno what's going on my friend.. would you believe it, I almost posted one of my own scribbles with the title 'Scars'.... aint that spooky... Anyway, the inspiration for this is evident .. and enjoyed truly ... Neville
Thanks my friend.
pleasure's mine and true..
lovely rounded construct and we carry our 'scars' which we keep hidden - having said that I am able to compartmentalise the past and close doors behind me - not everyone is able to do that.
I think people are a mixed bag ME, some conceal well, some cant, some have no desire to which is evident from some of the comments posted here.
Thank you for the complimentary comment sir.
