1 Thessalonians Chapter 1 parts

The gospel shared, proclaimed in word

Yet not only in word be heard

But with power, and the Spirit

And much assurance, every whit

 

The gospel be that we should turn

From sin, idols, and our concern

To turn to serve the Lord God sure

He the living, true God e'ermore

 

And to wait for Jesus His Son

To come from heaven, he the one

Who brings salvation, delivers

Us from wrath to come, grace confers

 

Continue on with works of faith

And labourers of love till last day

And patience of hope in our Lord

Before God, He the living Word

    In last verse, poetic licence - 'faith' and 'days' do not rhyme, but 'dayth' does. A new word?!

                  Every individual Christian has a personal responsibity to Preach the Gospel by word of Mouth ~ the written Word (through Gideons etc) and by our LIVES ! WE are Living Letters known & read of all MEN. Its not an option its a responsibility and PAUL said "I am answerable to God if I dont Preach the Gospel ~ AMEN"
