Ink spots and paper snowballs
The angry pen of youth
The sharpened pen of rage
The twisted pen of torment
The frightened pen of age
The wistful pen of love
The lonely pen of madness
The softest pen of family
And the empty pen of sadness
All these pens I have once used
To relay my thoughts and feelings
They helped me with my darker days
They helped me with my healings
I keep them all inside of me
They keep me sane and measured
Some I should have thrown away
But all of them are treasured

You have captured the purpose of my prose.
Thanks Sylvia I'm honoured coming from such a poet
Oh I’m not much of a poet, it really is just my therapy!
And so say all of us
That doesn't make you less of a poet
A lovely write which underlines the reasons why we write . There is one - no there are two predominant reasons why I write which I can add to this: a daft sense of humour and, more importantly, a love of the language. Regarding the later I value both flow and metre which I try to observe even in my silliest pieces.
Thank you Michael
And your "silliest pieces" are truly pieces of art many here on MPC will agree with me
You are THE poet and artist here
Your kind ords are valued
A fine write A.

YOU inspired me to finish this one after our pen chat the other day
I had the bones of it years ago "The angry pen of youth"
But that's a book in itself
