JUDGEMENT DAY ~ BILLIONS STOOD BEFORE GODS THRONE !
What does GOD know ~ and how can He be our Judge ?
Asked a TEEN ~ who drew back her sleeve to reveal
A tattooed number from AUSWITZCH ~ WE SUFFERED !
What 'bout me said a Negro ~ showing
A rope burn ~ lynched 'cos I was BLACK !
A Pregnant School Girl said ~ Why should I suffer ?
It wasnt my fault ~ I am innocent !
Each had their complaint ~ for what theyd suffered
Collectively they presented their case .......
Before GOD could judge ....... He must endure !
Let Him be born on Earth ~ Born as a JEW
Let the legitimacy of His Birth .......
Be doubtful ~ Give Him a difficult job ~ so
His Parents will think Him demented ! Let
Him be betrayed by his closest Friends !
Let Him face false charges ~ be condemned ~ and
Tortured ! Let him DIE ~ NAILED TO A CROSS
Feeling forsaken ! THERE WAS SILENCE ~ THEY
REALISED ~ JESUS HAD PAID HIS SENTENCE !

When you read the Poem God's reason for the INCARNATON and the CRUCIFICTION become more clear ! Thanks FINE ! Yes it is awesome ~ Our fave paithing of the CRUCIFIXION. In 1952 it was catalogued for £12000 and Glasgow Corporation (canny Scots) bought it for £8200 ! It is now worth millions. This is definately one of my favorite pieces I have ever heard. This is truely a masterpiece in my book. Also, I have a painting (not an original) of Christ's crucifixion with marry watching by Salvador Dali.

Dali is probably my favourite artist of them all and I've a special trip to Glasgow just to see this painting - and so worth the effort - And another fine write to accompany it .

Thanks UNCLE MIKE ~ Yes voted as Scotlands favourite Painting 2006 ~ It is magnificent and very moving ! Glasgow bought it for £8,200 in 1952 ! Later the Spanish Government offered £4 million to buy it back but Glasgow said no ! Pleased you liked the DODECET. A Sonnet is too short for such a topic !

Thanks B&A. I have been there. Seems a bit spooky to stand on the actual spot an feel the heat. Erm, see you later then, if I don't go up in a puff of smoke and combust! Was it Cranmer too, same place? Some have a mini-pilgrimage there, ever March 21st - Cranmer's anniversary; or October 16th for Ridley and Latimer.
Super write. That Salvibpdor Dali crucifiction is the most powerful of all paintings of that type.
