FineB

Within books lies a voyage of discovery with words,

Stories unfold before our eyes,

The power of the printed word captivates our hearts, minds, souls and spirits,

Forming connections with us and strengthening our literary ties.

And a great tribute it is - I too love books although I am also addicted to my kindle - currently reading Two in a Tower by Hardy for the umpteenth time. I just love his use of the language which few others seem to be able to reach - mind you the story line is a bit iffy in the modern day.

      Hello Michael,

Thank you for your lovely comment.

Thomas Hardy is indeed a brilliant writer my favourite Hardy stories,

Far from the Madding Crowd and Tess are my Hardy favourite.

As Michael has said - a great tribute. I am often lost in books and have been so for many, many years.

        Hello Goldfinch60.

        Thanks. Much appreciated.

Reading a book on Gertrude Bell, the great female explorer who was one of the founding people of modern day Iraq.

        The female Lawrence of Arabia.

        Hello Orchidee

        Thank you very much.

Never say never you may be able to buy them one day - you never know!
