MY OWN EMISSARY
In darkened rooms on wakeful nights
when nature’s harmonies are hushed
and prisoned spirits seek release
I hear the words of sapient men.
Their counsel squares a straying mind
with purpose found in leaden air
in isolation absolute
I am my own emissary.

Yes, 'you' slept well, thanks. I mean 'myself'! Who are you today - me, myself, or I, or you? That's 4 people now.
My is fine today - just painted two more masterpieces I has.
How's that evening going for you? Or for Sylla Berles? or Joe Bloggs even?
Just had a superb pasta dish - and the food was great too - a bit of vino and now looking forward to the new mattress .
Aren't we all, unless we are easily led.
What a shame we have nothing in writing from god. It's all man made clap trap fed into us as kids accompanied by 'fear of god'. Some never recover, obviously they're not their own emissary.
Religion and culture are sadly inbred from an early age. Not always a bad thing but it does deprive us from deciding for ourselves and once influenced not many are able to exit the mould

All the MPS Poets are using big words today : Fortunately I had a Public School Education (dont tell Brian !) Claudelle was talking about COLATERAL and now you with EMISSARY ! In essence an Emissary is an IMPORTANT POST a Person acting on behalf of the Government or Head of State etc. To be ones OWN EMISSARY is an interesting concept : it implies one has self-worth : worthy of an Emissary : I like that : much food for thought. In everything I do and say (and think !) I represent ME !
I will take more care in future !
