SUMMER TIME : AND THE LIVING IS EASY : AMEN
SUMMER DAYS : Evoke a gracious scene
Of picnics by a gently flowing stream
Of tennis courts and pristine bowling green
And cricket whites & strawberries & cream !
SUMMER NIGHTS : Evoke a wilder scene
Of bar-b-cues and winking disco lights
Of trees with over : forty shades of green
Midsummers Dream : alfresco Shakespeare nights !
SUMMER is the zenith of the year
And frozen WINTER seems so far away
The open air : a pint of local beer
Our Happy Children on the seashore play !
Soliloquies of Sunny Summers past
The balmy days we knew just couldnt last !

British Summers are getting warmer and the
21+ C (70+ F) temperatures in the last weeks
of February have made us all book Summer
Holidays @ Home ! ANGELA has got used to
Summer in December January February but it
comes as a shock in NZ at first. She has enjoyed
sailing in Auckland Bay ~ ALL YEAR ROUND and
no SNOW in the NZ Winter June July August !
Next time I visit (April May) it will be AUTUMN !

THANKS UNCLE ANDY : Yes in Essex the Summers tend to be Warm & Dry with plenty of opportunity to Sail Play Tennis Swim Cycle and enjoy Picnics & BBQs : all the Summery things ! This Summer in NZ (Dec Jan Feb) was confusing at first : but now I forget the DATE & enjoy the SUN ! I was amazed this week when BRIAN told me the UK temperature topped 21 C (70 F) and it was as warm as AUCKLAND ! Im expecting B to have a top-to-toe tan when he comes @ Easter !
