Tune: Regent Square
('Light's abode, celestial Salem')
Poem Subtitle: Rescued And Retained
**********
Rest, you wildlife, stay in your place
And enjoy your nature's grace
Saved from concrete jungle you be
Retained calm and harmony
Take your leisure, you God's creatures
And display your fine features
Grassland, trees, and quiet haven
Shall be maintained now, as then
In days past, so now for future
You shall be untroubled sure
And your beauties still we do see
Nature, unaffected, free
Meadows, trails, tracks, and footways
Travelling, we God do praise
For He is the great Creator
Creating things wholesome, pure
Land preserved, green spaces lasting
Take a route, thankful songs sing
The earth it be the Lord's and he
Made the fullness of it, see
Seasons, days, and years appointed
His wisdom manifested
Help us Lord your creation tend
You to mankind do it lend

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 878787 metre. The borders of a Country Park have been saved from a by-pass road (concrete jungle) being built. The Park would not have disappeared, but we could see the area that was ear-marked for development, since about a year ago.

There'll be one due in 2042 then.

Do I mean - I'm gonna sing until then, and take a break only then....?!
Super write Orchi, Natures Realm is so wonderful and so important to us all whether people realise it of not.
Thanks Gold. Yes, a River flows on one side of the Country Park. Private land on the other side of it.
