Two more good ones Michael.
I have struggled to stay awake in some sermons.
And some struggle to stay asleep lol
Thanks Andy
Oh lol, yes, good ones again Michael. So we're all asleep? Congregation and the Vicar, not just the people during some sermons.
And soup is served in the vestry.
I pass on the coffee sometimes - rather 'Bleuurrghhh!' from some huge pot - might be a witch's brew if it was not in church.
THANKS UNCLE STEVE : FOR YOUR SUNDAY CHUCKLE
1. A gentle answer (sotto voce) disembles wrath !
2. I do that : a typical stubborn female stance. We shame you into submission: which is why we always wrestle in MUD !
Love the CARTOON : It explains why in the Catholic tradition we always have two or more Priests serving on the Altar ! Priest have been known to sleep even die at the altar & in South America even to be assasinated (Requiem in Pace). To be forewarned is to be forearmed Please check COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW : Thanks :
Yours though Odd Odes :
ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Uncle Steve will be pleased with these lol 🙃🙃
1) overcoming adversity
2) she with the compressed lips
I have heard of it happening - must be quite a hoot when it does - thanks Angela.
MEA CULPA : Uncle Mike : I keep getting my Uncles confused : as the Actress said to the Bishop ! Yours ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Do you know 'She who must be obeyed'? Is it Miss Berles' real name?!
LOL that last one made me think of a flock of christian sheep.
One of my religious cartoons features a flock of sheep. To be posted on a screen near you soon. Thanks Dusk.
Hands clasped - is submission
Most of the time we do things even when we don't want to, mostly bc of fear or greed.
Insightful
Thanks Suresh
chuckleworthy indeed... N
Tears of happiness for the sleeping Vicar? Or is it the resignation? Maybe they are not related - or are they? Enjoyed both the cartoon and the poetry. You got me smiling. Thanks - Phil A.
They could be - thank you once again Phil.
Supressing unkindness is the way to gain happiness - love the first in particular Mike - - and as for that snoring vicar - in the middle of a service too - - shucks - he should be unfrocked.......... ha....... thanks for the smiles.
Unfrocked and put in pyjamas - laughing at the thought - thank you dear Fay.
How's that evening? It was unbearable for me, until I changed telly channels. 'The Durrells' were on - arrgghhh. Fido barked continuously, out of boredom!
