In our lives we often find evil,
Evil in others,
Evil within ourselves.
If unrestrained that evil
Will cause so much harm.
That evil can be tamed,
As what is evil
Can be contained,
Can be contained within good,
And the good will show us,
Show us the way forward,
The way forward into love,
Into love and peace.

A fine write Gold. Yes, I suppose it's easy to do wrong (or not do right), and to sin (and 'errors of omission or commission'). Easier sometimes than doing the good, that we should strive for.

Last line of first verse, should be 'so much harm'? Yet sounds poetic, with 'O much harm'.

What an uplifting piece for Monday morning. My heart very much believes in this, but I am called a fool for it.
Evil and evil deeds are something I always feel compelled to understand. Is evil born or made? Can it be undone? Is it permanent?
For now I’ll try not to think and instead believe in love.
Love is always there around us in so many different guises.
Fine wise words. But there are some who are content to be evil. Self not included.

Thank you Michael. I believe we are all born innocent and they way you are brought up forms your initial way of life. This can be changed.

Love the POEM : for us the only antidote to EVIL is a fresh infilling of Gods Holy Spirit each morning ! The Fruit of the Spirit (Love Joy Peace etc) exactly counteract the Works of the Flesh and greater is HE (The Holy Spirit) that is within US than HE (Satan) that is in the WORLD ~
