I know I can do it,
I have the strength,
I can push through the darkness.
I make it I am free,
Up into the world I rise.
My head still covered
But the light is above me,
And soon I will see it.
The cover on my head splits,
My petals unfurl.
I look up at the beauty,
The beauty of the world around me,
Knowing that my bloom
Will stir the passion,
The passion in the heart of people,
And my life will be fulfilled.

A fine write Gold. You blooming now? Or you bloomed by now?
Blooming, I got out of bed this morning so all is fine with the world.
Yes, but could you stand being interfered with by a bee?
And there i was, Mr Goldfinch, thinking you were a bird (feathered type). A product of an egg not a bulb, or did you go to seed?
Your words could be interpreted to describe coming out of a depression.
It is entirely up to the reader how it should be interpreted as long as they come into the light at the end.
Have you ever heard David Sanborn, I came across him a few days ago. Try this

LOL it was me introduced you to David Sanborn with his version of Dizzy's tin tin deo.
Oops , yes I remember now, getting old.
Ah - a lovely personification to set up my day dear Goldy - - what could be better to see than an early crocus of daffy and who would not want to be that beautiful unfolding Spring flower.
Thank you Fay, the beauty of Spring is unfolding before our eyes.
Love the title and the way you describe being born or blooming... N
Thank you Neville, most kind.
delightful... and my pleasure..
Lovely write - and so the flower produces seed and life's cycle continues.
So true, the circle of life is never ending.
Enjoyed this little uprising of a poem. Interesting interaction between flowers and light. They're like symbiotic.Sometimes just gazing at flowers can lighten a heavy burden. inspiration fo all. Loved it - Phil A.
Thank you Phil, yes light is so important in all of our and Nature's lives.
