NEW ZEALAND LAMB & CLARET ~ ANGELA ~ A SONNET

ANGELA & BRIAN

TWO SHORT VIDEOS FOR ROAST LAMB & ROAST VEGGIES

RUTH & I HAVE TRIED THIS AND ITS WICKED !

NZ LAMB in NZ : Is so so sweet !

LAMB has a sweetness & succulent

TEXTURE : which is complemented by a

RELATIVELY dry Claret ! The LAMB should

Be slow roasted : with a touch of .......

ROSEMARY & GARLIC and always served

With Potatoes and three vegetables

One of these can be KOUMARA Potatoes !

DESSERT can be a nice CAMAMBERT served

With GRAPES and : of course : a glass of CLARET !

NZ Lamb & NZ Wine offers a .......

Wide range of permutations : BUT the Wine

Should never obscure subtle flavour of

New Zealand Lamb : The sweetest in the WORLD !

Good write B&A. The wine won't be too strong, cos I'll add water to it! lol.

Thanks UNCLE STEVE : Pleased you enjoyed it ! NZ LAMB (& Welsh Lamb) really are the sweetest ! Personally (because PAPA would spank me !) The only RED I water is French Peasant Wine (gut rot).

We baked a lovely large joint which we wrapped (using string) with small branches of bay with garlic pushed into the flesh then slow roasted but with the flesh still pink and caramelised on the outside - a bit different and so succulent and tasty. And then stilton and port.

Your posting today has left me decidedly hungry.

Thanks ~ Uncle MIKE ~ Pleased you enjoyed all the flavours of todays Presentation ! Hang the expense I loved your Lamb Recipe ~ I could both scent & savour it. Stilton with a full-bodied Port is in essence my ideal DESSERT ! I prefer a single cheese with a liqueur to the ubiquitous cheeseboard ! Angela is a good cook so she likes to post a Foodie Poem ~ especially if it contains a reference to VINO of any shade !

This sounds a delicious way to cook lamb - shall try it soon my friend - along with a glass of good wine of course.

THANKS FAY ~ Angela & I like our LAMB well cooked and the timings on this recipe sure do that. Pleased you enjoyed the presentation ! ANGELA is an excellent Cook (UK & Ethnic) which is just ONE of the 50 reasons she will make more than an excellent wife in addition to her being a Masseuse !

People often serve ROSE with Lamb because ~
its more delicate than RED ~ Angela approves !

Not only does it taste good, but it makes a great jacket.
          Jesus saves.
          Persistence is key

THANKS DINO : Very droll ! Yes a SHEEP can provide MILK ~ WOOL ~ HIDES ~ MEAT & BONE ! A very versatile Animal ! Through our Church we encourage the Young People to save up and send a COW or A FLOCK of SHEEP or A BEEHIVE etc to AFRICA ~ ASIA & SOUTH AMERICA !
            Blessings in the SPIRIT ~

I am going to have to try that recipe, lamb is our favourite roast but prefer shoulder to leg.

GOOD MORNING UNCLE ANDY : Its 9 pm here (tempus fugit !) pleased the poem tweeked your tatste buds ! Slow roasted lamb with roasted veggies is always delicious. The trouble with Dinner Parties is everyone wants their meat (especially steak) cooked differently ! Witha JOINT one size has to fit all ! With NZ (or welsh) LAMB shoulder is just as sweet as leg !
Every Blessing & Love to YOU & JOYCE :
