Not Just Any Words

Neville

Not Just Any Words

Let not these words

Be confined to

Shelves drawers and attics

They are far too grand

For that

And such a fate

Would only serve to

Confound and complicate

Such matters...

Nor let them be

Weighted down or bound

By shells bells padlocks chains

Prejudices or muted palates

Such words must be

Held aloft and aired

For they truly do belong

In clouds and cathedrals...

A lovely and fresh invitation to let go our confines and shout words aloud in poetic abundance. A goody read of encouragement for the weekend my friend.- -and true.

I feel a storming of Parliament coming on - I'll be there with you with my banner reading: RELEASE THE WORDS. Or something like that. Good un Neville.

    • Neville

Thank you sir Michael... much appreciated, as always... N

    • dusk arising

Aye sir, from the roof tops let the words ring out. Like the wind through the forest greenery. As an echo resounding through the eons of space. And louder still within our minds.

The word is with you N.

A very motivational write, it reminds of this...
Poetry is an echo asking a shadow to dance
I don't know why it does
        Brilliant write N!

It's a pity I might sing (probably will) in poetic abundance, but there ya go - can't be helped! Unless I'm gagged.lol.

          • Neville

thanks for both the visit and the warning... anyone out there got a gag handy....

            • orchidee

I'm gonna be gushing - in poetic song - all luvvy and that!

              • Neville

make that a gag and a hammer would ya... cheers

                • orchidee

Nail me shoes to the floor with that hammer, so I shall only be able to sing from one spot. Hey It's Lent in the church year. You given up those choccie biccies? I could give up singing for 40 days, yes?

                  • Neville

I have not had a choc biccy for maybe 40 odd years...... I used to like them tho..

                    • orchidee

I\'m not mad on choccy now. Only to give myself a sugar rush if hungry, and then not plain choccy - yuk! You getting that petition going - 'Orchi to give up singing 40 days\'.

                    • Goldfinch60

They will sail through the ether forever.

                      • Neville

                        Thank you kindly good sir....
