Je Riviens by Worth

Neville

Je Riviens by Worth

As far as my nose

and associated olfactory nerves are concerned

There is no finer smell on earth

than Je Riviens by Worth

And did she ever wear it well

The merest drop dabbed lightly on those pulse points

and evenly rubbed in

Drawn from an insignificant blue glass bottle

Sheathed in a leather pouch

No doubt Scent from heaven

But created by Maurice Blanchet in 1932

A fine write N. It's some cheap scent from the Pound Shop for me. As in a comedy prog - 'This smells like ferret pee' Ooh lol. Woof - started Fido off now! yet we do associate smells (and pongs?) with certain people and/or places.

A sense of smell can take us back in an instant - - memory of scent calls as nothing else can. Ah - past love wrapped in perfume and beautifully written on your canvas today Nev. x

Sounds a bit like 'Je ne regrette rien', yes? Or maybe not? And what am I not regretting?! I'm waffling now. Any excuse for a song!

        • Neville

No regrets necessary .. just dab a little behind an ear and hum..

It is indeed odd how a scent on one lady can differ from the same scent on another, intoxication though both may be.
Methinks this olfactory sensation stimulates parts other scents cannot reach..... and there is an untold madonna present.

I think it just goes to show how very different we each are... thanks for taking part in this bit of research...

Smells are the most significant senses to bring back memories. May that smell remind you of heaven.

            • Neville
