MEANT.

Fay Slimm.

Meant.

Close those bonds of friendly love,
tighter than ropes of steel
are tied fetters of harmony, proof
that fate controls affinity.

Born of ease with another
no weeds grow in felt relationships.

Empathy takes no offence, attacks
weak traits knowing chains
made in destiny's fire do not loosen.

Time severs doubt's fading threads
and for amity's sake,
makes firmer soul-mate attraction
to strengthen sewn truth.

This soft hand of meant happiness
my friend, I offer to you.

I would take any hand that offers me hope in this world. A hand to hold in order to save, enlighten, love or hate. Your poetry is enigmatic as always, but it's how you carry the message along the words that makes your poetry so riveting I think. All in the timing Fay, and you've certainly mastered your style.

This is so much about the coming together of new true soul mates i feel.
Sharing the same views, motivations, joys and possibly destiny.... who could ask for more?
A joy to read.... a hope renewed in the heart.... a smile in my soul.

Most uplifting read of today and a must for my favourites.

Love the way the words are woven and especially the line: Time severs doubt's fading threads .

    Super as always.

A fine write Fay. But, aww, why no one offer me the hand of friendship when I sing? They throw rotten eggs at me instead! lol.

Another good one Fay, that love that first stirs gets stronger as the souls become one in love.
