Lucky dip

Poetic Dan

I've kept it down for so long
It's not sure how to come up
As if my emotions are in overload.

So many poems have been and gone
Like the others lights that are no more

The first trimester has now past
I've seen your head and arms

September brings another star
Awaiting two big bros and a sister

A mother that will ground you for the rest of your day's
With a farther that will keep the wind under your wings

I've stepped into paradise
Waiting to meet you here
Nothing in need of fixing
Loving each smile & tear

  • Comment from author about the poem: After two miscarriages last year this was our final attempt, I saw the pink line 8 weeks ago and we have been on a roller-coaster of emotions but now l'm going to embrace this gift with all the fire that burns in my soul. I was made for this!

That I am always honoured to know, even now I think of the many times I'm not but within a reflection of all of you I find and see my strength.
          Thank you

Best of warm wishes Dan - - I love that last stanza - -so good to know things are turning out well and the future is bright.

Yeah, always happens like that then I think of deleting the rest but I did get goosebumps on it!

My future is as bright as I decide hopefully I'll leave the negative where they always are and ride this positive wave... For the rest of my days.
Thank you for listening to my life, always appreciate your light!

A lovely write Dan. Not fantasy like Emmerdale, where half of them are past it, but say they're expecting! Miraculous! Doh!
