OUR SELF RESPECT ~ ANGELA & BRIAN ~ AN ACROSTIC SONNET

ANGELA & BRIAN

HOW CAN I GAIN SELF RESPECT ? JUST HELP SOMEBODY ~ AMEN

ONE way is to RESPECT ONESELF : and to

UNDERSTAND the meaning of having

RESPECT for Others & from Others ~ AMEN

SELF RESPECT : Is valuing who you are : and being

EXCITED about all that you have : and enjoying where you

LIVE : and enhancing your own Community : making

FRIENDS and getting involved : in your own Community !

RECOGNISE :  All Communities consist of PEOPLE !

EACH one of us should be involved  as

SCHOOL GOVERNORS etc !  In that way we meet

PEOPLE on our own Community : and earn their RESPECT

EVERYONE in a Community has something they can give to

COUNTERACT bad attitudes towards carrying Guns & Knives

THINKING POSITIVELY ABOUT OTHERS : GIVES YOU SELF RESPECT !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ LOVE A & B 🧡🧡🧡

In order to have SELF RESPECT you must RESPECT all others

irrespective of  Class : Creed : Country or Colour : and you

will win their respect. The negative aspect of DISRESPECT

has recently been tragically demonstrated in one of our

most peaceful NZ Cities : the spiritually named CHRISTCHURCH.

The VIDEO starkly demonstrates what happens when Parents

and a Community reject a Child on the pretence that he is a

WITCH !  If YOU CAN : Help somebody as you pass along : Then

you will have SELF RESPECT and your living will not be in VAIN !

    A fine write B&A.
If it was not so serious - 'Meanwhile': It's not helping anybody.....but why? Cos I'm gonna sing! heehee.

O UNCLE STEVE ! You are a caution but I like you ! I always get serious on a SUNDAY and we have been crying & praying in serious mode ALL DAY (its now 10:45 pm here) because of the SATANIC MASSACARE in Christchurch ! The whole of NZ feels defiled by the BIGOTTED action of one MAN. It is some (scant) compensation that he was not a KIWI.
Blessings & love in the SPIRIT

I sympathise with you there though. We can't imagine - or not fully. Especially in that 'quiet town'. Just threw in a line from my book entitled 'Meanwhile'. Subtitled: '1,001 notes on nuttiness!' 🙂

Oh if only though this way but many in society are so self centred that they are oblivious of others - in the worst extreme we have those who blatentley engage with acts of atrocity. A sad world.

      • Nicholas Browning

Respect your fellow man. It's quite simple really. People don't wish to see the bigger picture - that everything done in this world is but a small part of it all. To shoot and kill people en masse is a horrible thing that begets only loss, suffering, and shame.
Those people can't run from what they do, and they will soon after see the truth in that.
Best regards, Brian and Angela. Hope you're both alright.

Thanks NICK ~ It does raise the question of GUN LAWS once again ~ I knife can wound (and in some cases kill) but a GUN is much more likely to kill than just wound. The facts lie in the statistics. Death by GUN ~ in the USA ~ is 500 times more than in the UK. If we take population into consideration it is 100 times more. The second amendment was for Lawless Times and an ongoing fight with native Americans ~ it should be scrapped in the 21st C ~ but of course St Donald is very very PROGUN LOBBY ! There is more HUNTING in New Zealand so their GUN LAWS are more lax than the UK ~ but they are being tightened ! Thanks for your comments

Very good write and so true.

"Self respect is doing things in the right way even if nobody is watching".

Thanks UNCLE ANDY : Pleased you enjoyed the Presentation ! I love your MANTRA. Also as a Christian I believe GOD notes my behaviour when no HUMAN is watching and that cuts both ways : GOD sees the GOOD & the BAD. Brian & I have entrusted each other to GOD while we are separated ! MIZPAH (May the Lord watch between us !)
Blessings & Peace to You & Joyce
