WAVERING.

Fay Slimm.

Wavering.

Who, I ask, at this present
moment am I ?
fleetingly instantaneous or
immortally irreplaceable ?

My wavering thoughts on
perception seem
utterly compromised by
trust's unwieldy sacrifice.

Yesterday's doubts render
my psyche tired,
unquestionably weakened
and frustratedly weary.

Will I ever again beat this
depression while
unashamedly fervent
for anxious uncertainty ?

Regret when did you learn
pseudo contrition ?

Faith where is your earned
former conviction ?

A fine write Fay. We suffer ourselves too:' A double-minded man (or person) is unstable in all their ways' says James in New Testament. We suffer through not making up our minds: 'Shall I; Shan't I?' then may miss opportunities if we take the wrong choice.

Yes being double-minded can lead to instability and good to be reminded of that Orchy - Thanks for your considered comment.

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

Thanks for sharing FAY ~ YES our thoughts do waver and for me (BRIAN) especially when I am on holiday !
However when I am at work all my Lectures and Practical Classes are programmed (syllabus) and prepared well in advance ! HOWEVER at weekends ~ and on Holiday (especially abroad) I can let my mind wander & waver as described in your elegant Poem ! I hope to be retired in 2050 ~ and then my MIND can waver & wander all day ~ AMEN !
      Blessings & Peace of Mind
      BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Ah - - a long way ahead is that retirement Brian and even then I should imagine your mind will be quite steady and not at all wavering............. so pleased you thought the read elegant - - lots of hugs and blessings to you both.

Ahh, yes. Will trust allow us to see things for what they truly are? To have faith in ourselves is a difficult thing. You have said well what you meant, and here it rings true.
        Nicely done, Fay.

I like the way you look at the subject with lateral thinking NIck - I agree having faith in self is a difficult thing - -- thanks very much for your visit and comment

Billions of people in the world, each with their own idea of reality. It does not matter what one thinks as long as it doesn't injure another. We can all be as we imagine ourselves. We can all think freely. We can create as we wish. Just do not step on anyone,s toes Loved your poem. - Phil A.

          • Fay Slimm.

Thanks Phil for the needed reminder that our outlook on life can and does differ and as long as we mean well and never injure each other we can lift our head higher and think as we wish. I really appreciate your visit and comment my friend.

Super write Fay, I am glad it is from your imagination and not your reality.

              • Fay Slimm.

Awe - - thanks dear Goldy for your concern - - am afraid my mind runs on its own when I see words that interest me - glad you dropped in and sent your caring comment.

You and I have similar ways of writing in that anything we see or realise causes us to write words.

I am quite sure that even the most outwardly sturdy, fixated and otherwise committed and strong have occasional doubts.. it is part of being who and what we are.... a doubt in time can save more than.... Good Sunday mane Fay x

                  • Neville

It seems we think similarly x

                    • Fay Slimm.

Hugging uncertainty makes it all the more eager to make permanent inroads - so occasional is the operative word I agree. Doubt can be reasoned away methinks and faith in the order of things always helps........... this verse was written many moons ago Nev. Thank you loads for reviewing its somewhat cloudy message so generously though. x
