Hymn & Tune: Ode To Joy
Psalm 95 v.1-7
*********
O come let us sing to the LORD
He e'er reigns, the living Word
Let us to Him make joyful noise
Men and women, girls and boys
He the rock of our salvation
Saviour to every nation
Let us come before Him thankful
And give Him our praises all
Employ now your voices in song
He worth praising all day long
Take up psalms and melodies sweet
Bring them, ranging round His feet
For the LORD He is a God great
Clothed He in royal estate
Above all gods He a great King
Ruler over everything
In His hands are the deep places
Of the earth, and all spaces
The strength, the heights of the hills are
His also, those near and far
The sea is His, and He it made
See His creation displayed
Full of wonder, full of glory
This I do view, even me
And His hands did form the dry land
At His word each thing does stand
O come, let us worship, bow down
To Him, He of great renown
Let us kneel before Him, He be
The Lord our maker, here see
He our God and we the people
Of his pasture, His sheep all

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8787 8787 metre. Not that all our 'problems' disappear instantly, and some may be long-term, but this here to lift up, if feeling down. Blow away the cobwebs, if we can. Just pray my singing is tuneful. Oh no, not me singing all day long (verse 2)! lol.

A reference to sheep too, as they've appeared in a couple of poems lately.
You clever shrew!
A lovely read Orchi - -- sheep of the pasture is such a telling metaphor

Thanks B&A. Aww, why they not feel like hearing my singing!? lol.
I'm with Fay - nice to see someone use that metaphor in a positive way. We all know I'm guilty of the negative.
Don't worry steve, I'll sing with you. Just bring earplugs.
Thanks N.lol.
Great work O
Thanks M.
Good one Orchi and another great tune by one of the masters.
Thanks Gold. I thought you'd like this tune by Mozart (??). I'm un-cultured or un-classical sometimes. lol.
