Recollections
I made no attempt
To tidy up
The dining room
Last night
Before retiring
Nor did I check
For messages or mail
But that did not stop me
Thinking I want
To punish you
And for a moment
To withhold the pain
You so much crave
Maybe it was
Just as well
I lost your number
Somewhere between
The kitchen and the shower
Although I still recall
How much
I wanted you
Until that stranger
Took you
Somewhere off
The French coast
When you were far
Too good for words
Yet retained your
Appetite for poetry…

Strong recollections of unpleasant happenings and hopefully not from experience Nev. -- a compelling read that pulls at heartstrings.
I have said it before but am gonna say it again.. Bless ya Fay and true....
Why did I have to come along and muck it all up?! Hint: Bonjour! (bit of French there). heehee.
I suspect you have an overwhelming compulsion..
Or I turned up and you knew it was me by the 'Ccooeeeeeee!' and you thought 'Oh no!'
Better bring Fido in from the back yard, he's got some work to do!
not a bad idea...
You recollected that I was about to sing outdoors, then ran indoors pronto?!
you are very astute aint ya
You indoors now?
yes
Phew! Meeeoowwoooo! Ya hear me?!
An intriguing write, I wondered if it was very clever, I wasn’t sure if I should feel sorry.
To withhold the pain
You so much crave
There was a kind of ache to it and I couldn’t work out whose.
am glad you may have liked it... and just wanna thank you.. N
