Tune: Ravenshaw

('Lord thy word abideth')

Psalm 27 v.11-14

*********

Teach me, O Lord, your way

Lead me from day to day

In plain path, and guard me

Constant from enemy

I had fainted unless

You did turn to me, bless

And if I believed not

To see your hand's good lot

But in land of living

You your goodness giving

Faithful, you will us guide

And daily will provide

Wait on the Lord, and be

Of good courage, for He

Shall your heart strengthen sure

Keep you firm evermore

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn0poem in 6.6.6.6. metre. A bit more of a 'shorty' for today. Swooning again (verse 2) but that can't be helped!
