Once more I am there
And My River is waiting,
Waiting to guide me along its Path,
The Path to My Spirit.
I arrive at its side,
A blackbird is there to greet me,
A friend to watch over me.
I walk beside the water,
The crystal clear water
Shining like a mirror,
So calm,
So wonderful,
Calling me to travel with it.
The noise of the town recedes
And I am at peace,
At peace with My World,
At peace with My River,
At peace with My Spirit,
At peace with My Self.

A fine write Gold. I rather rushed along a different River, in time for an appointment. Oh dear! I could go back one day and stroll. (it's not local).
It didn't help to calm me, with the hurrying. My own fault. I did not turn off the river path sooner, back to the main road.
Thanks Orchi, slow down in life, it is far better.
Smooth everytime when that rivers by your side, I'll be sure to check in when I go over that bridge!
Be pleased to see you Dan, I will be waiting.
I feel the same walking along the River Welland which passes through our village - You're truly captured it Andy.

Nature provides. As simple as it may seem, having a piece of Nature to call your own.one that soothes the aching soul, is a Godsend. Enjoy your times there. We'll simply enjoy your poems about them. Thanks for posting this. - Phil A.
P.S. The "Man in Black." thanks again.
Thank you Phil, yes it is a simple way of dealing with life and so calming. Thank you for your kind words.
The Avon, your buddy. A peaceful river. I knew it as it flows through Lower Moor and south of Fladbury where i lived a while back. I often pull off the road east of Pershore and quietly sit on its bank between the old and 'new' bridges. Calming.
Yes it is d a, very calming once you get clear of the town, it is so peaceful.
We must try and meet at some time.
