Trouble.
Macaroon sky,
white-ruffled and fluffed
like meringue pie
stirred to spoilt crumble.
Piebald twilight
mauve-caught and greying
like grains of rye
simmered in storm paint.
Mottled bleak shore
dun-dry and sleet-slaked
like stew over-stored
gale brews, trouble-laden

Good write Fay.
Thank you dear Orchy - -Cornish storms have all the colours I used.
Glad I have blue sky over head, but I'll think of you next time it's like this! Won't be long in sure 😉
Ah = - spring is fickle and we in the south west can get three sorts of weather in but one day Dan - -thank you for your comment my friend.
Super descriptive write Fay.
Pleased that you like the read Mike - - but wishing you a stormless weekend .
this is absolutely superb.. a little sea gem and true .. more salt than a saxa factory and why not.... you certainly paint some amazing pictures with your pen dear friend...... N
Awe - -well I thought I would make it a bit tasty today - - macaroon skies might make that stew of storm more endurable methought. Thanks a big slice for your lovely comment Nev.
Tasty it is Fay and I would take that thick slice and mop what might be left in my bowl.......
I had just written the words thick slice of..... in my note pad..would you credit that... x
In answer to your last comment Nev - Yes I would credit that - - without a doubt birds of a feather etc - and what do they say about great minds - eh ?
you got me a smiling all over again... apart from the lines.. I got a happy face..
Picture and poem, one and the same, captured in word form just as beautiful and also threatening. A great write Fay. Enjoyed it immensely.

If i put on my rain gear in Cornwall then i know the wind will get me instead.
Brave men who put to sea under those leadened skies.
