a wish

dusk arising

something
was lost to me
forever
some four years
have passed
and now
often i raise a glass
and look skyward
to my departed brother
and wish him well
in his futures
whatever they be
wishing they be happy
and rewarding
away from this
cruel world
"may all the finer things
come to you
not least
much wisdom
and contentment
my dear
lost brother".

Super tender write dusk - the depth of love and feeling
    oodles through.

That's the true meaning of brotherly love i guess.

Great write d a, he is still with you.

My belief is that My Spirit will always be there for eternity.

Yes, i too believe our spirit is something which transcends what we know as our reality today.

        "Reality is but an illusion".

A very moving song and verse -- Love being part of the permanent cannot die and once our earthly vessel is shed I believe we shall know freedom as never before - our Spirit lives on and the best is yet to come. Your dear departed brother knows this as truth.

        • dusk arising

Yes Fay I trust you are right that my brother has passed into the next phase (a phase closed to us in our earthly presence).
I am moved that so many here are believers in this future and hold it dear as a 'given' from which a positive and enduring 'faith' strengthens us.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

This is a fine write indeed and I for one was not only moved by your words, I share your belief in reincarnation...... N

Thank you for your kind comments Neville. Reflecting upon the 'loss' of someone close it is difficult to feel wholly sad at their passing when our belief is that they transit to a far better place.

my sincere pleasure, if you know what I mean.... Neville

This was so beautifully done my friend, as for my beliefs! I'll hopefully stay forever open minded until I see it my self, or maybe not but then no harm done.

Thank so much for writing and sharing his spirit with me.

              Much peace and respect

Yes you are right to 'wait and see' if certainty is what you need.
I have had personal experiences which have led me to my beliefs. There was never a 'need to believe in something' in me which led me to it.

I thank you for your positive words and encouragement Dan.

I like that and can here in my head that I feel something but what ever "it" is, if confuse my self trying to explain it. 😉

Your brother is always with you in the memories you hold so dear.

As you believe in rebirth, there is a great certainty that you will be together again, and find him exactly the way you wished

Not at all sure that reincarnation words like that, you're over simplifying there. Thanks for reading and commenting, always appreciated.
