Tune: We're marching to Zion
'Come, we that love the Lord')
********
God's people, Christian band
March now o'er all the land
Proclaiming news of gospel true
Proclaiming news of gospel true
Open for all to view
Open for all to view
Chorus
Salvation, the glad sound
Evangelise, spread it around
God's kingdom come, His will be done
To reach unto earth every one
The Spirit shall empower
Us unto every hour
Take up your armour, polished bright
Take up your armour, polished bright
Put enemies to flight
Put enemies to flight - Chorus
Through Christ bring light where dark
That folk to gospel hark
So redeemed ones may sing the song
So redeemed ones may sing the song
If His love in praise throng
Of His love in praise throng - Chorus
Forgive, where hearts may fail
Or devotion grow stale
Inspire us once again to serve
inspire us once again to serve
With grace we not deserve
With grace we not deserve - Chorus

Another great write from
the pen of Orchidee - where are they going?
Thanks Michael. They are going into my store of hymn-poems, as I type them up after writing them. How's Miss Berles?
there's a lot of gospel goings on here that Fido needs to be aware of and what did we say about choruses....
Thanks Neville lol. Well, I sneaked in choruses. But I meant the 'one-stanza' choruses, e.g. 4 lines, endlessly repeated, that drives us mad!
they sure do...
Inspire us indeed Orchi.
Thanks UNCLE STEVE : Love a jazzy Golden Oldie : great words great tune. Your poem reminds me that the Christain World has a duty to EVANGELISE the whole World before the LORD RETURNS : Methinks we are getting close. I would love to be here when the Lord returns ! In 60 years time 2079 I will only be 91 : so I might make it : AMEN
Blessings & much JOY to You & FIDO
