Beware of Mirrors

Neville

Beware of Mirrors

As I turned to watch her

Sweep those dreadful blues away

Beware of mirrors

I thought I Heard Her say

The stuff that hides behind the silver

Will never go away

Oh yes beware of mirrors and

All forms of reflection

Since too much light and insight

Will only serve

To make you blind

One day

Much food for thought in this verse Nev. - -- an image of self reflects reality if we dare look and insight does not go away...... deep truths hide in these clever lines my dear friend.

        • Neville

Thanks Fay and muchly so.... N

A reflection is a prize for it allows us to see from another viewpoint. Poison to the narrow minded.
          Knowledge begat wisdom.

          • Neville

thank you for visiting these words DA and for helping me reflect ... N

I met her - or so I thought! But I couldn't see her in the mirror. She must be a vampire. Arrggh!

At least let me blame my follies on my reflections

                • Neville

blame on you..... mirrors never lie....... N

                  • Suresh

                    Yes, shame on me,

                  • Goldfinch60

Mirrors do not show us who we are, they only show the reflection of ourselves turned through 180 degrees. We know who we are inside of ourselves.

                    • Neville

thank you for pointing me in the right direction friend...

profound and timeless, insightful wisdom: worthy, of deep contemplation
and as always worded so enticingly subtle my friend, glad I fished this one out
worth uploading again in the future (in my humble opinion)

                      • Neville

I am most honoured and truly my dear friend .. I wonder if you can imagine how pleased I am that you took the time to find this old scribble .. All I can say is .. I really am ..

                        Neville
